2024 Pride Month in NYC

June is Pride Month across the country, and New York is among the epicenters of this important month-long LGBTQIA+ event. So what’s happening in the Big Apple for Pride Month this year? Learn about events, volunteer opportunities, and other ways to support the LGBTQIA+ community this June!

Events

Plenty of Pride Month events will happen in New York City throughout June, so attend as many as you want/are able! A mere few of these events include:

• The March: The NYC Pride March happens on June 30th and is free to attend. The first march occurred in 1970 one year after the infamous Stonewall Uprising. Now an annual civil rights event, the Pride March features grand marshals, marching contingents, and floats for small businesses, non-profit organizations, sponsors, and activists.
• Yankees Pride Nights: Select Yankees games during June will honor the Legacy of Pride in New York. If you attend a Pride Night game, your ticket includes a $15 food and beverage voucher and a New York Yankees hat featuring the Yankees logo in the Progress Pride Flag colors.
• Queens Night Market: A fabulous way to begin Pride Month in NYC, the Queens Night Market on June 1st starts at 4:00 pm and lasts until midnight. Some 70 vendors will sell international cuisine, and no beverage or food item costs more than $6! This event also includes live entertainment and plenty of merchandise vendors.
• Garden Party: The annual Garden Party hosted by The Center is a can’t-miss event taking place on Pier 76 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on June 24th. Enjoy live music, great food, special guests, libations, and more.
• PrideFest: What Pride Month is complete without PrideFest? Another June 30th event, PrideFest is the annual free street fair with fun and unique vendors galore. Live entertainment, food and drinks, activities, and exhibitors are just some reasons to attend.

Want to volunteer during Pride Month? Sign up today with NYC Pride and learn where you can volunteer! You do not have to identify as LGBTQIA+ to volunteer and make a difference. Other volunteer opportunities are available during Pride Month as well, such as those with Gay For Good.
